Dry cleaning is an environmentally friendly method of cleaning used plastics. Contaminants such as paper labels and leftover food are frayed by high acceleration and impact forces, without the use of fresh water. Through this process the clean plastic is extracted and the spun off residues leave in a separate stream. The process works continuously and allows high performance.
The process can be applied to all thermoplastics such as LDPE, HDPE, PP, PET, PA, HIPS and many more.
With Pla.to GmbH wastewater-free cleaning technology, the recycling of plastics is easier and more affordable. Large mechanical forces and air currents shred paper into small fibers and friction removes surface contamination from the plastic.
Inside the centrifuge, a rotor with hardened blades rotates surrounded by a filter basket through which loosened contaminants pass and are sucked out of the machine by a strong vacuum.
Another special feature of the Pla.to dry cleaners is the wear-resistant design of the interior made of hardened steel. The rotor blades can be replaced by unscrewing them.
Performance is improved through an integrated fan that prevents blockages. The centrifuge is equipped with a cleaning system which forces the separated contaminants and fibers out of the machine, allowing for uninterrupted operation over long periods of time.
We offer different models depending on the requirements and material. Performance levels depend on the grain size and thickness of the material.
